Week one: our pivot, our launch and what comes next

Most of our waitlist did not convert. Talking to company secretaries directly did, and it showed us that the real friction lives in teams.

One week ago, we quietly shipped the first web app iteration of CosecScribe. Built for individual company secretaries, our strategy was straightforward: invite our waitlist to use it free for a month, gather immediate feedback, and iterate at high velocity.

Then, reality intervened.

Most of our waitlist didn't convert. It's the classic startup paradox: why sign up for a waitlist if you don't actually need the solution? Realising email blasts to an inactive waitlist weren't going to cut it, we took a direct approach and started reaching out to company secretaries directly.

That pivot changed everything. We secured demo requests almost instantly, and today, corporate governance agencies are actively testing our product.

Listening to the market

Our direct outreach uncovered a deeper truth: individual secretaries are great, but the real friction lives within teams. Corporate governance is collaborative, multi-layered and compliance-heavy.

So we built out our most audacious capability yet: an enterprise tier designed for end-to-end workflow management. Teams can now handle everything from generation, review and board acceptance to filing, all natively within CosecScribe.

What's next

We are doubling down on what matters over the next few weeks:

  • Onboarding our first wave of corporate teams and refining the enterprise workflow.
  • Shipping our native mobile applications for access on the go.
  • Continuing to build out the future of intelligent corporate governance.

Our core mission remains unchanged: company secretaries should spend their energy on high-value compliance strategy, not typing up minutes at 2:00 AM to meet regulatory deadlines. We are automating the administrative drag so governance professionals can lead with clarity and confidence.
