South Africa · Companies Act 2008 · CIPC

CosecScribe keeps every company on your books in good standing with CIPC. It drafts board minutes in your own template, puts the beneficial ownership filing ahead of the annual return, and prepares the pack you submit.

Each rule in the product carries its source and is reviewed with practitioners. It is a working tool, not legal advice.

Beneficial ownership comes first

Since July 2024 CIPC will not accept an annual return without a beneficial ownership filing. CosecScribe shows that step ahead of the return for every company.

Annual return dates and fees

The deadline is worked out from each company's anniversary, and the fee is estimated from its turnover band.

Ownership changes in 10 business days

When a resolution or transfer changes who owns or controls 5% or more, the filing deadline is created automatically.

Close corporations as well as companies

CK numbers, members' interests and the returns that apply to a CC are handled alongside private and public companies.

Public interest score

Calculated for each company, so you know whether its financial statements need an audit or an independent review.

Nothing to retype

Upload a CIPC disclosure certificate and the company, its directors and its beneficial owners are filled in for you to confirm.

Questions, answered.

Does CosecScribe file with CIPC for me?

Not yet. It prepares the complete pack and tells you the order to file in. You submit through CIPC eServices or BizPortal.

Does it support close corporations?

Yes. You can add a CC with its CK number and members' interests, and it gets the deadlines that apply to it.

How do I pay in South Africa?

Plans are priced in rand and paid by bank transfer: R59 a week, R179 a month, R749 a year, or R2,299 a month for a firm of up to 10.

Is my clients' information safe?

Uploaded audio is deleted once transcription completes, saved documents are encrypted, and nothing is used to train AI models. You can delete any record at any time.

Does it work with King V?

CosecScribe documents what your board decides: minutes, resolutions, declarations of interest and registers. King V applies to financial years starting on or after 1 January 2026, and good records are how a board shows it applied the Code.

Can I use it for companies in Nigeria too?

Yes. Nigerian and South African companies sit on the same desk, each with its own rules.
